If I want to edit a trace can I do that either graphically (draw trace with mouse on screen) or edit text (describe trace with XY coordinates)?

To draw traces with a mouse on the screen, goto menu: Add | Trace...

To edit a trace (describe with XY coordinates), select the Trace and then goto menu: Edit | Properties... Then click on the tab "points", and perform any required edits.
