[QUOTE]

I installed the Windows version of the software on a Windows 7 64bit machine. I installed it as a “regular” user or “Administrator” but results are same. The target directory remains empty – no files are copied there during installation!  Everything went fine on my Windows XP machine though.

Any idea ?

Thanks for your quick response.

By default ACE will be installed to "C:\Numerical Innovations\ACE3000v7".    Installing as Admin is always best because it permits all files to be installed without question (which is recommended by the 3rd party tool we purchased called InstallAware).  If there is a "user permission issue" with the installer, I would recommend you install to a folder where you have read/write access.  For example:
C:\Users\User\Documents\ACE3000v7

Note:  Please make sure to install the software into a folder which has read/write access.  The common "C:\Program Files" folder does not work well, because ACE needs read/write access to whatever folder you install.

Let me know if that helps, and I look forward to hearing from you.

Best regards,
Simon
