Can ACE 3000 convert ODB++ to Gerber RS274x?

Yes, ACE 3000 can convert ODB++ to Gerber RS274x. To do so, please perform the following:

1. Start ACE 3000.
2. Select import format "ODB++"
3. Select export format "Gerber"
4. Click button Next, and select ODB++ file.
5. Verify ODB++ options, and press "Next".
6. Verify Gerber options, and press "Next".
-- ACE will now load your ODB++ file.
-- To view ODB++ file, click button "CAD Viewer..."
7. Click button Next, and select the folder you wist to export the Gerber RS274x files.


Note: ACE 3000 also allows you individually select certain ODB++ steps and/or layers that you want to import, so instead of having to load the entire ODB++ file you can just pick what steps/layers that you want to view, edit, or convert.

Note: Most ODB++ files contain complex Surfaces with Holes, that are not directly support by Gerber.  ACE 3000 easily flattens and converts these complex surfaces with holes into simple polygons which may be easily exported to gerber (and it's more compatible with other CAM/Gerber software tools).
