What is “lockout” mode?

Modified on Tue, 18 Feb at 7:41 PM

If you are in lockout mode, it's because the license server has either:

  • Detected of too many re-activation's (for a single user license) within a short period of time. Typically the number of re-activation's allowed per month:
    • Single user Activation Code:  3
    • Multi-user and Team licenses:  Unlimited (depending on the users, 100's of re-activations can successfully occur each month)
  • Too many failed password attempts can also result in a lockout to protect your code from theft.
  • The system also includes an anti-fraud system that disables activation codes in cases of credit-card charge-back or refunds.

The license server may lock your activation code and wait for it to be reset.   If this is the case, please contact support and we're happy to help, https://support.numericalinnovations.com/support/tickets/new

Note:  Please remember the activation password you assign is CASE SENSITIVE and should be between 4-16 characters.  Please make sure to only use characters:     0-9, a-z, A-Z    (avoid using punctuation marks and symbols such as @, &, and *, for example).
