Using FAB3000 to generate a 3D STEP files of the PCB with components (with height) - which can also be imported into any 3D tool to verify overlaps/intersections.

Load your PCB into FAB3000

1. Go to menu:  File | Export | 3D Step...
2. Review the Step export options
3. Review the Layers output, and select PCB with Components
4. Press Next to export STEP

Results of the exported ODB++ are viewed in FreeCAD.
