Convert Composite to single layer (Gerber)

I need to convert/compress composite gerber layers to a single layer.

I am reading in PCB house panelized silkscreen layers that include the solder mask layer for the purpose of keeping the silkscreen off the solderable areas.

Is there a way to convert composites to a single gerber layer for output? The software I use next is reading the composite in as separate layers. It's not making the gerber unusable but it requires picking which layers to display which is some added time wasted.

You can try either:
  • Flatten Composite  menu: Tools | Composite Layers | Flatten Composite Layer...
  • Convert to Polygon   menu:  Tools | Convert to | Polygon...   and select all objects on your silkscreen layers.
