How do I Generate X/Y Part Centroids for ANY Angle and for Components pads that are not centered?

Starting with FAB 3000 Version 7.2, you now have the ability to easily generate centroids for any angle (not just standard 0,90,180,270 rotations). When components pads are not centered, you have the ability to also select the Silkscreen to help FAB 3000 recognize the true component center. Please view the following tutorial movie :

Generating Centroids for non-standard rotations.

1. Select component pads, and verify pin #1.

2. Assign non-standard rotation for this component.

3. Make sure to change search to 1 degree or 0.5 degree.

FAB 3000 will now detect all components at ANY ANGLE!!

Generating Centroids for non-standard component centers

In this case the Pads are off-center from the center of the component. You can tell by viewing the silkscreen.

1. Select component pads and Silkscreen, and verify pin #1.

Note: FAB 3000 will use the Silkscreen to help determine the origin of the pads relative to the center of the component.

2. Assign non-standard rotation for this component.

3. Make sure to change search to Selection.

That's it!! FAB 3000 has correctly assigned and centered your component that was non-centered.
