How to prevent directory naming conflict using daemon name "numinno"?

Modified on Wed, 11 May, 2016 at 7:27 PM

The actual name of the directory used to store our vendor daemon (if it ends with numinno) can cause some locking. For example if you were to install flexlm in the directory below will cause locking:

c:\FLEXnet\numinno

Changing the installation directory name to c:\FLEXnet, or c:\flexlm\numinno_fab3000, or any directory path that does not end in "numinno" fixes the problem.
