One of our users is having trouble converting a file. She needs to convert a Gerber file to DXF and doesn’t seem to be able to do it. Does the ACE 3000 software allow you to convert Gerber’s to DXF files?

Thanks for your question.  Yes, ACE can definitely perform a Gerber file to DXF.

1.     Essentially you will start ACE, assign the conversion format on the main page Import: Gerber and Export: DXF.
2.     Press button 'Next' and Select the Gerber files you wish to convert to DXF.
3.     Review the Gerber Import options and press 'Next'
4.     Review the DXF Export options and press 'Next'.
   • The DXF Export options will alter the output of the DXF to meet your requirements.  For a first time conversion, I would keep the default DXF Export options and then review the resulting DXF file (after conversion).
5.     ACE will now import the Gerber files...
6.     Review the proposed DXF Layers and Colors and press 'Next' to export a DXF file.
