FAB 3000 V8.5+ fully supports the Gerber V3 standard which now includes Nets and Components in the Gerber files themselves.

Here's a quick video demonstrating FAB V8.5+ importing Gerber X3 files and generating all Nets and Components (including packages and footprints). Afterwards you may easily export to advanced formats like: IPC-DMP, ODB++, generate centroids (X/Y pick-place), and more - without any additional effort.
